Learning With Purpose

At Meoros, students appreciate that their Judaic Studies are not merely an intellectual pursuit but a path for development and growth as individuals and future mothers of Klal Yisrael.

The curriculum developed by the staff is both diverse and advanced. Students find the subjects relevant, inspiring and meaningful, and develop true love for Torah learning.

Teachers As Role Models

The Judaic Studies teachers at Meoros are hand-picked; they not only teach their subjects but also act as role models for the conduct of Bnei and Bnos Torah in daily life. The morals and lessons learned in class are perfectly synthesized with the teachers’ personal behavior both in and out of the classroom.

The warm connections the students forge with their teachers further cement their love and appreciation for Torah values and Torah learning.

Differentiated Learning

Meoros’s small size makes true differentiated learning possible. Whether in Chumash, Navi, Halacha or Jewish History, students will receive assignments that will challenge them at their personal levels. Allowing students to learn at a level and pace appropriate for them builds self-confidence, which fosters participation and promotes academic excellence.

A High Caliber Academics Program

Meoros is committed to ensuring that every student receives a highly rigorous academic experience that will prepare her for college and beyond.
To that end, the school provides:

  • a well rounded curriculum
  • instruction and assignments that challenge every student on her specific level
  • curriculum content taught by experienced educators

A State-Recognized Institution

The General Studies curriculum is customized by the staff to fit both the individual student and class needs using the Florida State Standards as a starting point.
Educational opportunities are further enriched to train students to apply their studies with critical thinking.
Meoros provides standardized testing including the Iowa Achievement Tests to monitor student growth and further support student learning.

The warm connections the students forge with their teachers further cement their love and appreciation for Torah values and Torah learning.

Appreciation for Academic Excellence

The administration and staff have high expectations for students to excel in their secular education, and this motivates students to succeed.
Meoros’s General Studies curriculum promotes:

  • the development of critical thinking skills
  • the desire to become lifelong independent learners
  • a grasp of the relevance of the subject matter to student’s day-to-day lives

Extracurricular Activities

A Fun Learning Environment

Despite the school’s small size, the extracurricular activities at Meoros rival the offerings of any large, established Orthodox girls’ high school across America. With a wide range of activities including chagigahs, student clubs, productions, and Shabbatonim, the students’ schedules are packed with stimulation that creates the perfect balance with the rigorous academic program.

Student-Directed Activities

One incredible benefit of belonging to a small student body is that every girl gets a chance to shine! Programming over the course of the year is planned and executed by the students themselves – and boy, do they know how to have fun!

Through the various programs, Meoros students tap into their innate talents and develop their leadership abilities – skills they will keep with them for life.

Learning as a Prerequisite To Chessed

Practicing chessed in the surrounding community is a core component of the students’ chinuch at Meoros. The students have a requirement of 10 hours of chessed to complete per trimester at the venue of their choosing.

The girls grow attached to “their” chessed projects and recognize how this volunteer work helps develop them into well-rounded, caring individuals who feel an obligation to the “klal.”
